Active Listening and Note Skills is a practical, high-impact 6-week course designed specifically for high school students in grades 9–12. In today’s demanding academic environment, the ability to listen actively and capture essential information efficiently separates successful students from those who struggle. This course equips teens with proven strategies to stay engaged during lectures, discussions, videos, and readings while developing personalized note-taking systems that support deeper understanding and better academic performance. Students will learn how to eliminate common listening barriers, use effective note-taking methods (including Cornell Notes, outlining, mind mapping, and digital strategies), and apply these skills directly to their high school coursework. Through interactive activities, real classroom simulations, group discussions, and guided practice, participants will build confidence in processing complex information quickly and organizing it for easy review, test preparation, and long-term retention.
